                                                                 Letters from clients

Wow, the class certainly exceeded all my expectations.  Michael Lynch was a pleasure to work with and was extremely accommodating when we had to reschedule the class a few times – first due to a repair taking longer than expected, next due to our truck mirrors not extending far enough, and second time was due to a dead battery making the hitch inoperable.  Finally the big day arrived and I was really looking forward to it.  So many of the practical tips apply to all types of driving, not just when pulling a trailer (we have a 27’ hitch tow).  Although I had a fair amount of time prior to the class with pulling the trailer, I was extremely anxious when confronted with tight spots like the gas station or narrow roads…like sweaty palms anxious.   And backing up?  Forget it!!  Michael was able to trouble shoot my backing problems being related to my not knowing when the trailer and truck were straight.  He put a bit of painter tape on the front of the trailer to make a spot for me to line up the trucks back corner with the tape marker and from that point on we where golden.  At his suggestion, I got some self adhesive reflectors to replace the tape and it looks great.   It was a wonderful experience and well worth the price.  I think it should be mandatory for anyone that is new to RV driving.  The highway is a heck of a place to be figuring it all out for the first time.

The lesson I had from Mike Lynch was really great.  I was a newbie and had never driven our 4 month old RV.  He made me feel very comfortable and he spent a good amount of time going over what we would be doing, the terminology and safety.  That gave me a good understanding of exactly what I would be able to accomplish by the end of the day.

Martha .

We have recently completed a two day RV basics driving class with Michael Lynch, our instructor with our newly acquired 36 foot Class A diesel pusher.  Michael was professional, through, informative , humorous and patient during our two four hour days of instruction.  We have owned and driven a 24 foot Class C 16,000 miles in the last 18 months but the upgrade to a 36 foot diesel pusher was at first intimidating.

After our time with Michael, we feel comfortable and confident in our ability to drive our new rig in close quarter situations.  The time and money invested in the class  was well spent and we cannot imagine hitting the road without having done so.

Thank you Michael for sharing your knowledge and experience with us “newbie” Class A drivers.

Randy & Dale

I would like to thank Michael Lynch very much for the training class this weekend.  Mike is such a wonderful and patient individual that the class was actually enjoyable.  My wife was the one that I had concerns about, but after the classes with Mike she has so much more confidence that she is now able to drive the coach and not be afraid.  Mike is such a knowledgeable individual that even though I have several years of driving experience I learned a great deal as well.   I am very fortunate in that I have gained a new friend in Mike thru this process as well.  How much better can it get….a new friend and the learning experience.  This was money well spent!!!

Thank you to your You and your Team,

Ron

Michael Lynch is worth every penny!  We think every new motor home owner should take the class!  In addition to how to operate the coach safely and responsibly and all aspects of driving – MIRRORS, backing up, clearance, turns, corners, emergencies, changing lanes, busy local streets – Michael covered basic operations of the coach, pre- and post-trip inspections, trip planning and much more.  The time we spent with Michael was packed with essential information .  Operating and driving a motor home is complicated and a major responsibility.  RV Driving School with Michael Lunch gave us the critical information and basic motor home skills training we needed to start our travels safely.

We took the Driving School in our 2019 Tiffin Phaeton.

Ray

Just wanted to thank you and the private instruction from Michael Lynch.  The class was very informative and well instructed.  The pace of learning was perfect.  We did not move on to a new technique until we were comfortable with the last one.  Michael did an excellent job in teaching us things we had no idea that we were going to be able to learn in 2 days.  Not only did we learn how to drive a Class A RV, the information was very helpful for our own personal vehicle as well. We would highly recommend this course to any individual thinking on purchasing a Class A.

Once again thank you and safe travels.

Michael & Patricia

Just a quick note to let you know my thoughts on the training. My instructor was Michael Lynch – and he was very good at assessing my knowledge and finding my weaknesses so that we could focus on those areas. By the time we left the parking lot to go out on the road, I was much more at ease – and was even comfortable carrying on a conversation while driving. Michael’s depth of knowledge through his many years of experience was helpful as I had specific questions of which he was able to answer. I would recommend this course to anyone – including those who have experience in driving RVs and want to refresh their knowledge and learn something new that might save their lives.

Doug .

I am so thankful we saw the brochure when we bought our motor coach.  The time spent with Michael Lynch was the most important training I think we have had.  I wish I knew about this school before we bought our previous travel trailer.

A few words about the lessons and the instructor.

·         Michael was very prompt and kept our attention 100% of the time

·         Michael was able to challenge both myself and Linda even though we were at different levels

·         Michael made it fun but maintain a high level of seriousness

·         Michael was able to read Linda’s fears, concerns and actions throughout the class, he kept her focused and challenged

·         Michael read my skills immediately and altered driving challenges to keep me on my toes

·         Michael lead a discussion on items needed to be a safe RV’er.  Several items we had but there where items we never thought of that we have now added to our equipment

·         Michael shared stories of his experiences that we were able to relate to our experiences and expectations

Thank you for having the foresight to set up such a training program.  I have shared information with several at our storage location and told them of our positive experiences.

Again thank you and please thank Michael again for us on a job well done.

I am copying this to Linda so she can reply if she wants to add to this.

Fred

I just wanted to take a moment to send a quick thank you note to you for the excellent quality and great experience that we had.

Our instructor, Michael Lynch was a real professional, who took the time not only to teach us in a classroom setting but also made sure we knew how to drive our big rig .although I had driven heavy equipment before, prior to the class, I was pretty nervous about taking our Class A diesel pusher across the country with my wife and six children relying on me to keep them safe on the road.

My wife wouldn’t even dare to drive it and was leery of agreeing to be a backup driver for me at all.

Michael’s 40+ years of experience in the bus business, as well as his 12+ years teaching were invaluable in helping us learn and drive safely. He has us learn how to drive through the serpentine cone course backwards and forwards, (literally), as well as negotiate tight spots, back into a simulate camping spot, do three point turns to get out of jams, parallel park, and many other maneuvers prior to driving. Then, we headed to an empty commercial lot, with lots of roads and turn-offs, and finally we went on the road. By the time we hit the road and drove for a few hours, we both we no longer nervous, and were equipped to drive our RV well. Michael tailored his teaching to our needs and was patient, encouraging, accommodating and helpful throughout.

After the class, I felt that I understood and was able to execute all of the necessary skills to drive my motorhome safely. I don’t ever want to be over-confident, but I am glad to say that I am confident that I can handle the motorhome like I wanted to now.

My wife is now confident that she can take over driving for me while we’re on the road, to allow me to get some rest. I couldn’t be happier with our instructor and our experience overall.

My wife and I both took the RV Driving  lesson here in North Georgia earlier this week. This is our 1st experience with an RV and we had actually just took possession of our 2012  40 foot Tiffin Allegro Bus the week before. ( Coastal RV in South Carolina allowed us to delay picking it up as we were busy finalizing the closing of the sale of our home and needed to get our possessions moved to storage quickly. Our instructor, Michael Lynch, was in contact with us during that time and even came to the RV park where we stayed and assisted us with backing into the campsite and getting everything hooked up properly.  His nearly 40 years as a professional driver and the numerous driver safety schools he had taken and given throughout his career, along with having had his own RV for years, gave him an extremely thorough knowledge on the subject.

Michael is a natural at being an instructor.  He was able to read our expressions and tell when we understood him in the classroom portion of the training and add another example when we needed it.  During the hands on driving instruction, he showed a lot of patience in being able to explain what we would do in each situation, walking us through performing maneuvers multiple times until we were comfortable, and explaining the importance of each practice obstacle in real life driving terms.

In our RV newbie situation, an old saying comes to mind…  you don’t know what you don’t know until you know it.  We did not know how important the mirrors are to driving such a large vehicle, nor the importance of proper alignment.  Our passenger mirror was not properly mechanically aligned and not able to be adjusted to full range of motion so Michael brought his tools out and helped with this .

We found the RV Driving course exceeded what we expected and hoped for.  We plan to be full time RV’ers for the next couple years or longer.  With the size and complexity of driving an RV and tow car, I believe the lessons learned in your school will not only help us live our dream safely but may very well save the lives of countless others.  I highly recommend that everyone who will drive an RV of any size take this course.

Tom and Gloria

Please know that Karen and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the RV driving instruction provided by Michael Lynch. The small investment of time and money will serve us invaluably in the future years/miles.

Karen and I are brand new to RVing, and to towing in general.  We wanted to complete the husband/wife training so that we could be equal partners in this new experience, but also so that we would have shared knowledge/experiences to ‘bounce off’ and check each other.  We know that, in towing a large fifth wheel, we are only a split second away from a dangerous or expensive wrong move.

That’s probably what we valued most from Michael Lynch’s training.  Of course, his life-long experiences in all types of towing were invaluable, but he filled every lull with his thoughts on towing preparation, driving safety, and situational considerations.  Michael’s ‘voice’ will likely be in our heads for years to come.

We appreciate the personal interaction we were able to have with Michael.  He is a man of many interests and life experiences.

Finally, I am thankful to Michael for his treatment of Karen and I as a husband/wife team.  He demonstrated great patience in tailoring his approach to each of our individual needs.

Thank you,

David & Karen

My husband and I completed the RV LESSON Friday (7/6) and we wanted to let you know what an awesome experience it was!  Like so many others, we started the course a little skeptical as to how much we could learn…you know, since we have each been driving about 50 years or so and already knew it all!!  Well, ha!  ha! on us.   We were amazed at how little we actually knew when it came to driving and handling a motor home safely.

Our instructor was Michael Lynch out of Acworth, GA and we cannot sing his praises loud enough.   He has so much knowledge and experience from his years of driving and he willingly shares that knowledge to train novices like us.  He gave us a lot of classroom instruction and explanations as to how you drive/handle the motor home and then we put it into practice with him guiding us every step.   One of the things I appreciated most was, when I had a lot of difficulty with backing the rig,  Michael was extremely patient and, when one technique did not work, he was able to teach me another technique until I was successful at completing the task…now that’s a great instructor!!  My husband and I will both be hearing that big, booming voice telling us to “check the mirrors every 6 seconds”, “use your real estate” “push and pull the steering wheel” and “it’s not a matter of if, but when you will have an accident” if you aren’t driving defensively and paying attention at all times!   He also shared with us so many practical pointers like pre-trip checklists, what to do if you have a blowout, using all your braking systems (especially with mountain driving) and so much more….  We have pages and pages of notes that we will be referring to often.

In summation, it is our opinion your driving school should really be a requirement for anyone who purchases an RV!  The benefits far outweigh the cost!   We feel so much more prepared to hit the road in our RV….And Kudos and thanks again to Michael Lynch for being an exceptional instructor!

– Michael is an extremely knowledgeable RV driving instructor.  After the lesson, I felt much more confident driving my unit.

– the serpentine driving forward and backward were really great

– the city driving was invaluable

– the way he structured the class made it easy to follow and learn

I would recommend this class to any new RV owners.

We had the pleasure of meeting Michael  Lynch, and being trained on pulling our Fifth Wheel that we recently purchased.

Michael was an excellent instructor.  He was always on time and kept us on schedule.  We felt that he “really knew his stuff” and was able to convey his years of experience and knowledge of RVing to novices like ourselves.   Even though our main focus was to learn how to improve on backing up our Fifth Wheel, he taught us a lot about driving our RV on the road and pointers for keeping ourselves safe.

He was very patient with our lack of backing skills and the fact that we needed better mirrors in order to be more successful.  We left our lesson and drove straight to Stone Mountain campground for the weekend.  We knew that we had gained more confidence in driving our rig on the road and had a little “solicited help” from fellow campers in backing into our first site.  We had a wonderful weekend and feel more at ease with handling our rig because of the training we received from Michael.

We had already talked with the GM Dealer about better mirrors and had them put on the truck last Friday.  We have actually practiced using the backing techniques we learned from Micheal and are becoming more confident each time we back up.  In fact, we are going on another camping trip this weekend where we will again use the skills we were taught!!!

Kudos to a job well done by Michael

Purchasing our first fifth wheeler was an exciting adventure.  The experience is similar to the excitement of having a baby!  The pregnancy, baby showers, setting up the nursery and then you realize you have to give birth!   You have the excitement of purchasing an RV and then realize you have to tow it!  Quiet intimidating when you have never towed an RV before.  Jack and I purchased our RV from an individual at the Crossing Creek RV Resort in Blairsville GA.  We were fortunate to meet Susan who worked at check in.  She recommended we call Michael Lynch.  Susan had met Michael at an RV show.  We did some research and initially thought the price was a little high but decided to move forward with the training.

After filling out an application and paying our deposit we promptly got a call from Michael to make arrangements for the training.  Monday was the big day.  Michael met us at our campsite and even helped us hook up our RV.  We had a class in the RV before starting out to our training site.  We spent 2 days with Michael.  By the end of the first day Jack and I both felt comfortable backing, weaving, parking, spotting and several other maneuvers that Michael taught us and coached us through. By the end second day you will be out on the road completing maneuvers in the real world in real time that you never thought possible!  Michael has the ability to instruct in a clear concise way, making you feel safe and confident.  He is patient, clear in instruction, SAFETY minded, knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge and expertise.  Also, he is a delight to listen to as he shares his life stories and driving experiences.

We highly recommend Michael Lynch to all RVers – beginners or old timers – you will definitely learn from Michael.  After the training we felt that the course was WELL worth the money and time spent with Michael.

Thank you Michael for getting us started on our RV journey.  We feel that you have provided us with the tools and knowledge for safe RV driving.

Susan.

I’m writing in regards with the requested feedback from my 2-day course with Michael. I’m a little short on time so I’ll be brief but not much needs to be said anyway:

Michael is a terrific, top notch instructor, he knows how to get the most important info across in the most effective way possible. The safety benefits of the course cannot be overestimated of course. In addition the self-confidence the course inspired is invaluable. Michael was also flexible and tailored the course to cover areas I had most concerns with, making my future life driving the RV that much easier.

Great RV training.   Mike Lynch was friendly, prepared, professional and very informative.  We both learned new habits to improve safe driving of our RV.  Instruction on our RVs pivot point, turning radius and overhang; safe driving operation; how to read traffic to be a more defensive driver and covering the service brake when crossing intersections; when to downshift, employ the retarder and/or the service brakes; effective hand signals when backing up; are just a few to mention.   We took this training five days after we took delivery of our new RV and our confidence level was significantly increased.   Absolutely worth the investment in time and money; would recommend to everyone with a Class A RV.

My husband Tom and I completed the 12 hour RV Driving lesson last week and wanted to let you know that we thought it was a great experience.  Our instructor, Mike Lynch, was professional, knowledgeable, and a great teacher.  We particularly liked the classroom portion of each day as he explained the drills and reviewed key points.  The driving drills were well laid-out and Mike did a great job coaching us through our headsets as we performed the maneuvers.  The on-road driving experiences were comprehensive and valuable in preparing us to drive the coach home from Atlanta to Florida through rush-hour traffic!  As it turns out, we are on the road in our RV again this week evacuating from Hurricane Irma and feel very comfortable handling the coach, even with higher-than-usual winds and traffic.  Altogether, the RV Driving lesson is well worth the investment in both time and dollars.  Every RV owner should have this type of instruction before they drive off the lot!

2018 Entegra Cornerstone.  I just completed the two driving school training with Michael Lynch.  This note is to let you know that I was very impressed with the trainer assigned to me, Michael Lynch. Michael met me at NIRVC in Lawrenceville, Ga which where the training took place on day one. Day one was half classroom and half maneuver training.   Day two was countryside and in town driving experience.  I should tell you that Michael was extremely prepared with resource materials and took me through a very detailed and informative training process. Michael is obviously a very experienced and knowledgeable trainer and he did not let me down.  I was very impressed with his methodical style of training and his focus on the really important things for driving large coaches. Michael was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and very resourceful.  He followed up with me with more helpful tips even after the training concluded.  I highly recommend that those new to RVing and those who may need refresher training to contact Michael Lynch.  It was well worth the investment and has my highest recommendation!

Barry .

I would like to thank RV Driving School and especially Michael Lynch for the great job of taking me to the next level driving my Winnebago.   I felt comfortable driving my RV before the two day class.  However, Michael brought me to the next level.  I could even parallel park my 32 foot RV on the first try!

Michael was an excellent instructor.  He sent me an outline before we go started.  Then we covered his bullet points step by step.  We left nothing out.  His vast experience with big rigs, buses and RV’s added a lot to the classes.

I would highly recommend Michael Lynch to anyone buying an RV for the first time and/or anyone wanting to be totally familiar with their RV, gaining safety tips and becoming a better defensive driver.

Harvey C.

Michael was simply exceptional.  Not only because of his extreme skills, experience, and training methods, but also his care to carefully select excellent practice sites. His use of wireless headsets for all three of us enabled him to always be able to teach, monitor, explain and answer our questions on a real time basis.  He was completely prepared and had many safety cones, and a special measuring device to ensure the cones for various maneuvers were as tight as possible for our specific Coach whether driving back and forth around cones, backing, or parallel parking.  In addition, because we were in the process of taking delivery of our new 2017 Cornerstone in Atlanta, he showed great flexibility and willingness to work with our unpredictable schedule between his commitments.  He made it work beautifully, and taught us many things and also stressed how even as a 30+ year professional, he treats ever day in the Driver’s seat as his first day.  A great, very valuable experience.  We highly recommend Michael Lynch.

 Michael Lynch

We just wanted to let you know what a great job you did teaching my husband and I how to navigate our new Forest River Georgetown RV.

Michael was both professional and knowledgeable; we truly appreciated all his credentials and had complete confidence in everything he was teaching us.

Prior to the training, I literally had no experience driving our Class A vehicle except for the test drive we did on the highway. My confidence was extremely low, my husband had more experience and felt pretty comfortable for the most part.

Although, by the end of the second day, both my husband and I had done a 180 on our level of competence and comfort to head out on the open road. Michael was extremely encouraging and was sure to cover both “classroom” and application of what we needed to do to be successful for our adventure.

We highly recommend Michael to anyone who is looking for training on their rigs!!

Christine R.

Just wanted to provide some feedback about Michael Lynch who was my instructor last week.  I signed up for the lesson because my husband and I will soon be heading out on a 6 week cross-country trip and I wanted to feel more confident about driving with our 20 ft. travel trailer.  I’ve driven it a little before, but felt there were skills I needed to be safer and to fill in when my husband needed a break.

Big thumbs up to Michael!  He was very professional in the way he organized and conducted the class.  When our firs class location was unexpectedly closed, he found a temporary one for the first day and a much better new location the second day.  He was very clear in his explanations and instructions, so I knew what he would discuss and why each topic was important.  My biggest challenge was learning to back up.  If my husband had been my teacher we would have ended in a frustrating argument.  But Michael was extremely patient while I wandered all over the parking lot, continually giving me tips and encouragement until, at long last, I finally backed that rig up pretty straight.  I may not be a pro, but now I know what to do to back into a camp space, as well as best ways to maneuver in other tight spaces like a gas station.

So a big thanks to Michael for his professionalism, patience and strong focus on student success and safety!

Jan and Ron
